Inflation was driving the entire market to scale down its use of paid search and target smaller audiences. To grow its business without substantially increasing its paid search spend, Dr. Yates Hair Science needed to craft a more effective organic search strategy.
We audited Dr. Yates’s digital strategy and found that SEO was not performing well in relation to SEM, and furthermore that Google paid search guidelines were inhibiting campaigns. Based on our audit, we identified SEO hygiene opportunities, updating meta titles and descriptions across the website in accordance with the latest best practices. We also refreshed content that was of high quality but wasn’t earning optimal search engine results. And we wrote many new optimized blog posts based on analysis of the topics that prospective clients were most eager to understand.
In the first month, average search result positions across all URLs climbed by 30%. Keywords in page-one listings also climbed by 30%, while average positions across all keywords increased by 11%. And nearly 20% of all traffic to the website was driven by just two of the new blog posts we created.
