Los Angeles is ranked 6th among the world’s best tech cities. With that, Symmetri has set up shop on the south end of Silicon Beach. Silicon Beach is at the heart of the LA tech and startup scene with more than 500 companies calling the area home. Many major tech companies like Google,Apple,Netflix, YouTube, BuzzFeed, Facebook, Salesforce, Electronic Arts, Sony, Snap have headquarters or offices here. 
 
The area is also home to the California Institute of Technology, University of California Los Angeles, University of Southern California, as well as many start-up incubators and accelerators. 
 
Because Los Angeles is the world's epicenter of entertainment, it has a unique blend of creatives and entrepreneurs that isn't as prevalent in other areas of the country. But beyond that, Los Angeles is also the manufacturing capital of the United States, which makes it an ideal location for hardware companies. 
 
With easy access to LAX, it’s only an hour plane ride to Silicon Valley, or an hour plane ride to the biomedical and biotechnology hub in San Diego.
